Adria Streeter
Adria is the founder and creative director of Adria Streeter, a fashion label specializing in custom ready-to-wear designs, cocktail dresses, and evening gowns. Adria’s love for fashion and designing clothes started when her mother gave Adria her first sewing machine at the age of 7. She began by making custom doll clothes and experimenting with her own style. Sewing and garment design remained a significant part of life during her childhood and school age years. Adria’s studied costume design in the Stagecraft and Design program at Denver’s School of the Arts (DSA), the Denver area’s secondary arts magnet school for students in grades 6-12. During her time at DSA, Adria led her fellow design students as the costume department for the school’s theater productions. In 2006, Adria moved to New York City to attend The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) as a fashion design major. During her 12+ year career, Adria has immersed herself in learning as many facets of the fashion industry by working with designers at Marchesa, Miguelina, Inc. and Ann Bowen. She’s worked with prominent boutique owners in New Jersey and currently teaches sewing and design skills to children in an afterschool program. Her designs are commissioned by celebrities attending red carpet events, music videos and for magazine editorial shoots. She describes her signature design style as “Luxurious and timeless, feminine and sexy.” Adria wants her design to sparkle and is known for her hand detailing, beading and embellishments. Adria Streeter collaborated with the New York City-based charity organization Dresses for Haiti in 2017. In 2019, she launched her children’s bespoke apparel line, Livvie & Bean, inspired by her two young daughters.
