Whitney Allysyn is the founder and creative director of the Whitney Allysyn Tall Womenswear Collection. The daughter of a soldier and a teacher, she was raised between Germany and El Paso, Texas. After earning a BS in Biology from New Mexico State University, she ventured to Washington, DC to attend graduate school where she earned an MBA from the University of the District of Columbia. While living in the nation’s capital, she immersed herself in the budding fashion scene – as a makeup artist for CHANEL Beauté within major department stores and as an intern at various fashion and entertainment public relations startup firms. After teaching middle school math and science for a few years, Whitney decided to pursue her ultimate dream and attend Parsons School of Design where she earned an AAS in Fashion Marketing. In 2021, she took all her fashion and beauty experience and started her namesake label in service of tall women. With the mission to solve a problem that she herself had – not being able to easily access luxury quality, affordable apparel for her 5’9”, 35” inseam frame – Whitney Allysyn launched in June 2023 to help tall women dress the way they’re meant to dress, without compromise.
