Glenda Jones is from a small Caribbean island called Dominica, where she grew up as the youngest of 8 siblings. After graduating from high school, Glenda enrolled in Dominica Community College where she received her 2-year diploma for Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Technology. Soon after, she moved to the US and went back to school and attained a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.

Growing up in the Caribbean was an important part of where her fashion influence began. In the 1980’s, as young girl in school in Dominica, she was inspired by her teacher Mrs. Charles who was a pageant runner-up for Mrs. Dominica. Mrs Charles was so beautiful and fashionable. Glenda wanted to be just like her. As a mentor, she passed along a passion for fashion which led her on a path to becoming a fashion designer. With the influence from Mrs. Charles and the help of her friend and mentor, Vernie, she learned how to sketch, sew, and make her own clothing.

In the mid 2010’s, Glenda moved to San Antonio as a young adult in her 30s. She built up enough courage to release her first fashion collection and started her own fashion brand called GEEDA J Fashion. Glenda is best known for her feminine and ready to wear unique designs.

Now, Glenda continued to manage this business and have dabbled over the years in many abstract and Caribbean inspired artwork as well. Many of Glenda’s designs have been featured in Plitz New York Fashion Week, Caribbean Fashion Week, The 2nd Annual San Antonio Fashion Awards, San Antonio Dream Week, and in many venues throughout the United States. Local celebrities have been featured wearing her designs. Many of her gowns have been featured in ICON Magazine, San Antonio Monthly Magazine, Fox 29 News, and KSAT 12 News. Glenda looks forward to hearing from more fashionable people who are intrigued by her designs.
